Wanted to comment on something you said. I'm going to paraphrase. You said that we should mentor people that want to know about Twitter because it can be fast and throw around in-terms. This is something I've been thinking about relating to 'getting' Twitter. And it was mentioned by @dough and @pistachio too. It's hard to 'get' Twitter on your first day because you need Time to create the context and meaning of what's happening. Twitter is greater than the sum of it's parts. This could get long.
