“Snake Oil Salesman or Expert?” – A Panel Discussion Moderated by Tracy Anello
With Social Media being only six years old, the consulting or “expert” industry has recently experienced major growth. With so many professionals now including the infamous bullet point “social media expert” to their list of services, companies need to be sure that they are not wasting their time and money on a “Snake Oil Salesman” instead of the real thing.
The purpose of this panel discussion is to allow you and other attendees to ask the questions needed in order to make an informed decision when selecting a Social Media Consultant, such as:
- What can you learn now to avoid the Snake Oil Salesman possibly damaging your brand’s value due to their lack of knowledge regarding social media strategies and new media tools?
- Should you really hire the early Facebook adopters or the Linkedin Snake Oil Salesman who only shows you how to update a Free Profile and connect the dots?
Join us and ask our distinguished panel – “How Do You Tell Whether You Have Accepted A Proposal From a Snake Oils Salesman Or A Real Social Media Expert?”
The Panel:
Matthew Olson @_Signalfire_ – Owner and Creative Director of Signalfire, LLC
Jeff Larche @TheLarch – Owner of Digital Solid
Kim Nielson @Knmu – Communications Project Manager at University School of Milwaukee
