As this post goes live at 8:00am on Tuesday, November 24, Des Moines, Iowa is kicking off its very first Social Media Breakfast, with a program on the “future of mobile technology.”
I wanted to share a video welcome message that will be played to all the breakfast attendees in just a few minutes. The clip combines a greeting from me with a montage put together by “SMB Traveling Ambassador” Albert Maruggi.

I am excited to announce that the Social Media Breakfast movement is coming to Des Moines, Iowa! Our first event will take place at Mars Cafe on Tuesday, November 24 from 8-10a.m.
The conversation topic of Des Moines’ first SMB will be the future of mobile technology, and how it applies to social media applications, marketing and specific industries such as retail, health care and agriculture. Panelists will include Dennis Dohrmann, manager of data sales for Verizon Wireless (in Iowa), and Daniel Shipton and Neil Roberts from Bitmethod. The discussion will be moderated by Nathan T. Wright (that’s me) of Lava Row.
