In the mean time LinkedIn – the social network devoted to professional development – has also continued to grow. There are now close to 100 million members and with a new member added every second.

“Canada is one of LinkedIn’s fastest growing markets,” said Arvind Rajan, LinkedIn’s vice president of international. LinkedIn is used to build a career, find new employees and grow businesses, yet 90% of members do not know how to use it according to Simon Hénault, founder of Linked Québec, the largest community of francophones on LinkedIn.

Fabrice Calando is a web and social media strategist. He has worked with a multitude of different companies – B2B, B2C, governmental as well as small and medium sized businesses and non-profits – to help them achieve their online business and marketing objectives. These include customer acquisition, increased web traffic, recruitment of staff and business development. He currently blogs at fabricecalando.ca and has close to 10 years experience in web and marketing.

Fabrice Calando is currently a web strategist at Adviso, a firm specialising in web strategy, web analytics, UX/UI design, SEO and PPC. Before that he also worked at companies such as Cossette and Astral Media. He is also currently a moderator of the LinkedIn group Linked Québec, the largest community of francophones on LinkedIn and manages the community’s twitter account.
